On February 16, 2023, I landed in Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International Airport after a flight with Biman Bangladesh Airlines from Dhaka, Bangladesh. After going through immigration, I took an Uber to Bella B hotel where I would be staying for the first few days. After freshening up, I set out to explore the city.

The first night in Bangkok was an exciting experience, with vibrant street food and lively parties. I was struck by the energy and excitement of the city at night. What surprised me the most was the absence of honking on the roads, making it a peaceful and relaxing environment to explore.

The following day, February 17, was WordCamp Asia’s Contributor Day. Although I wasn’t a contributor, I still had a lot of fun at the event. The lunch provided was super delicious and the flagship event was a great opportunity for me to meet interesting people from all over the world.

On February 18 and 19, the main event took place, and there were a lot of sessions and people to meet. The atmosphere was lively, and I met a lot of new people. I was impressed with the variety of swag and t-shirts available at the event, and I was happy to collect as much as I could.

During my free time, I visited Pratunam Night Market and Sampeng Night Market, where I had the chance to try out some of Bangkok’s most delicious food, including Seafood Soup and Mango Sticky Rice.

On February 18 and 19, I stayed at the IBIS Riverside Hotel. The peaceful view from my room was truly relaxing and provided a nice contrast to the bustling city below.

Overall, my trip to Bangkok was a truly unforgettable experience. From attending WordCamp Asia to exploring the city’s vibrant night markets and cuisine, I had an amazing time discovering everything this beautiful city had to offer. I’m grateful for the opportunity to have gone on this adventure and can’t wait to see where my next international journey takes me.
